...the best use of the Wilhelm Scream.
If you’re not familiar with the Wilhelm Scream it’s a scream that was originally recorded for the Gary Cooper film “Distant Drums.” Since then it’s been reused in over 400 films and TV shows (including all the Lord of the Rings films, Batman, Toy Story, and pretty much anything George Lucas) and may be the most used stock audio clip in cinema history. Also once you know about it you can no longer take any scene using it seriously. So sorry/you’re welcome for that.
My vote goes to the undermarketed and underrated Ratchet and Clank movie

It annoys me now when I hear it because it’s like this in-joke that everyone knows and it totally takes me out of whatever it is I’m watching. That said, I like its use in Them, the giant ant movie.
For a movie about giant ants, it’s really a great film.
